Welcome to WILLEM SMITH.

We build beautiful furniture.  We trust you’ll discover that, in the crowded world of fine wood pieces, we are decidedly not more of the same.  

We conceived our exciting, innovative yet elegant designs to highlight form, proportion and the spectacular characteristics of our woods.   Then, in partnership with the finest cabinetmakers in the US, we bent solid wood around tight curves, created sumptuous patterns with highly-figured veneers and carefully carved our solid wood legs.  We called on artisans to cast and patinate our bronze pulls and feet.  We asked one of the most respected names in wood finishes to make our surfaces dance.  And here we are.  

You may notice that all of our furniture displays the WILLEM SMITH inlay.  Indeed, rather than hiding our name in a drawer, we proudly sign every piece of our furniture using our trademarked inlay pattern, discreetly tucked in a cove, nestled in an edge or subtly bordering a panel.  Whenever you discover our distinctive signature, be assured that the provenance of the piece is one of integrity, from the fundamentals of the design to the traditions of old world, bench-made cabinetry.
