Incised - A pattern or carving produced by cutting into stone, wood, or other hard surfaces. The reverse of relief carving.

Inlay - Form of decoration , in which a design or pattern of one materiel is inserted in to the surface of another.

Intarsia - Elaborate pictorial marquetry or inlaid paneling, used in Renaissance Italy and also 16th century Germany.
